Last but not least, while we at LG aren’t making a movie, the fine folks at Hex Studios
are, and it’s live on Kickstarter right now. Frankly, as someone who grew up on a lot of schlocky fantasy stuff in the 70s and 80s, it is such a delight to me to see the amazing stuff that small companies can do right now with publishing like LG and with moviemaking too. I just recently came across their new movie project called Dragon Knight
and it looks super-cool. The quick thumbnail summary is below, but I’d encourage you to give it a look. Become a supporter or heck, just watch a cool movie trailer and remember the days when that was better fantasy than we’d get in a whole Hollywood movie!
Dragon Knight is a gritty fantasy movie set in a world of feuding kingdoms, ravaged by the invading black legions of the dark god Abaddon. When all hope seems lost, a lone warrior embarks on an impossible quest to find the last of the dragons… humanity’s last chance in the final battle to come. Inspired by the brooding dark fantasy of such classics as Conan the Barbarian and Excalibur, and the epic lore of The Lord of the Rings. They have excellent rewards including Blu-Rays, 28mm miniatures and books.
