card games

Fulfillment Friday, Sci-Fi Sunday, and Finding a Path to the Stars!

This has been a completely bananas week here in Legendary-land, with over 300 packages going out to Kickstarter backers for the Pirate Campaign Compendium (5E) and Fates of Madness card game, with the Alien Bestiary (Starfinder) queued up next as we hack our way through the pile of boxes! And we’re not done yet!

But wait, we aren’t just a shipping company! We also have amazing new books coming out all the time, and this week is no exception. We just got so busy with shipping (plus actually running our regular games!) that we’ve totally been slacking on announcing the latest amazing addition to the Arcforge product line, the spectacular Star*Path! This stunning volume blends Starfinder and Pathfinder in spectacular ways, providing massively expanded conversion rules in both directions, from Pathfinder to Starfinder and from Starfinder to Pathfinder, plus nearly 30 new feats and class features and 7 awesome archetypes like the Starknight and Zenith Marine! Of course, you’ll also find tons of guidance for expanding the rest of the Arcforge line like Technology Expanded and Psibertech for use with Starfinder! Regardless of which system you use, you need to check out the array of options in Arcforge: Star*Path, and you can pick it up today at the Legendary Games webstore, Open Gaming Store, Paizo, DrivethruRPGand soon at Amazon!

There’s even more great fantasy and sci-fi books coming soon, including Mythic Treasures and Star Intrigueboth finishing up in layout as we speak, and the amazing 216-page Aethera Field Guide (Pathfinder) finally finished in copyfitting and ready for its final layout, heading out to backers first and then to everyone! More previews to come soon, but we hope you are having a Legendary 2019!

You load 16 tons, and what do you get?

Okay, it might not have been literally 16 tons, but it *was* EIGHT PALLETS OF BOOKS AND GAMES that arrived today at LG Central! Probably around 3 tons, if we’re being honest. A thousand-ish each of the Alien Bestiary (Starfinder), Pirate Campaign Compendium (5E), and Fates of Madness card game all arrived today – why all on one day? Hey, when it rains it pours, but thankfully it actually stopped raining just as the pallets arrived. With the able assistance of a couple of helpers, we broke down the pallets, putting some units into storage, queueing up a bunch of them for packing and shipping directly, and got a couple of pallets ready for trans-shipment to our distribution partners. The local post office is going to be doing their semi-annual stinkeye at me for clogging up the line with an onslaught of packages, but that’s the cost of doing business!

It’s not only about shipping, of course, as I’m posting up Arcforge: Star*Path for release on Friday and stealing moments to keep writing as I can to push through to the finish line on To Kill a Star, but we’re definitely shifting gears into full-on shipping mode to get an awesome array of books and games out to YOU! Thanks for your support of our many products and projects, and we hope you’re looking forward to a fantastic 2019 along with us!

However, we would be remiss if we didn’t encourage you once again to check out the biggest 5E book we have ever released, the massive and malevolent Book of Exalted Darkness (5E), which already has TWO 5-star reviews! It’s a Mythica Monday and More!

No, not Mythic Monday, but Mythica! Legendary Games is excited to announce our new partnership with Mythica Games to produce card games and so much more! We’ve been working behind the scenes with the Mythica team since last year at GenCon when we played a demo of their Legends of Draxia card game and were very impressed with the work they’d already done, and saw a great opportunity to partner with them in creating a new kind of products for Legendary Games as well. They’ve been hard at work on a Gothic horror-themed card game especially for us, working through prototypes and playtest demos at conventions around the Midwest and beyond, and we are looking forward to getting that game into production later this year, but we also are excited to promote the original Legends of Draxia card game right here at the Legendary Games webstore and soon with some of our other sales partners! Set in the mythical land of Draxia where dragons and other fiends terrorize the night, this action fantasy card game is designed for 2 to 6 players ages 12 and up. An average game takes 20 to 40 minutes to play based on the number of players and their level of gaming experience. You can get the base card set itself, or order it with the beautiful neoprene roll-out play mat. Either way, it’s an exciting card game, fast and easy to play but challenging even on repeated games. Check it out today and look forward to even more amazing card games coming your way from Legendary Games and Mythica Games!

Of course, the next Mythic Monday is coming soon too, as we are putting the finishing touches on Path of the Bound by Robert Brookes and Jason Nelson, the latest expansion for the magnificent mythic rules, this time dealing with characters who have attained their legendary power through great and terrible pacts with powers beyond, or who link themselves to others to share their mighty mythic power with them! Be careful what you sign; it might cost you your very soul!

Also coming this week, a new sci-fi supplement in Treasury of the Machine (Starfinder), a tome of terrific technological treasure for your Starfinder game, which should be available by the end of the week! Of course, we’d never make you wait, so how about a quick preview of what’s coming your way!

Treasury of the Machine brings you an awesome array of over 70 technological and technomagical tools to enhance your Starfinder campaign, from devastating weapons like the rapture ray, beam saber, gravity cannon, kinesis grappler, or singularity grenade, to awesome accessories like the adrenal enhancement, ectosight, slipskin, and ghoster unit. This book contains items as helpful as the neutralizing safety blanket and solar array and items as sinister as the memory transfer probe and amnesia tick, and range in power from simple disposable items to the artifact robot control harness. You’ll find entirely new medicines and pharmaceuticals like the chemosols, more grenades, new weapon fusions, variant androids, and even a new robotic pet, the walking eye! If it’s majestic mechanical and magical treasures that delight and excite, your PCs will love what they find in the Treasury of the Machine.

Last but not least, we have our THIRD spectacular Savage Worlds adventure coming your way soon, the wilderness caravan sandbox adventure, Road to Destiny! Make your way through the wild and woolly coastlands as you dodge goblins, bandits, and raiders seeking a hidden treasure right in front of you. Check it out coming soon from Legendary Games!
