The 16th volume in our Mythic Monsters series, Mythic Monsters: Monstrous Humanoids brings you a dozen and one half-human monsters. As if this deadly dozen were not enough, we also bring you the xotenga, a flying fiend from the wild wastes that feeds on hunger and is sated only by suffering, a creature that lives and breathes famine and desolation in a rain of deadly feathered shafts plucked from its own desiccated wings.

From apex predators to bloodthirsty beasts, some crude and some all too cunning, some drawn from classical myths and legends and some part of the new invented legendarium of RPGs themselves, magical beasts are truly the monster’s monsters! Here you will find monsters steeped in the classics, like the fabled crocotta, leucrotta, and catoblepas of Ethiopia described by writers like Strabo and Pliny the Elder, to more broadly folkloric creatures like the basilisk or heraldic ones like the ypotryll . Mythic Monsters 17: Aliens

The 17th volume in our Mythic Monsters series, Mythic Monsters: Aliens brings you a dozen and one monsters that are truly out of this world. A handful are indifferent to the plight of terrestrial races, simply exploring with dispassionate efficiency and adapting themselves to new worlds like the robotic adaptoid or the floating brethedan. Others are frequent travelers between worlds, either physically like the wily witchwyrds and the mighty xanthos, or by sending their thoughts out among the cosmos like the contemplative. Some alien races usually remain on their own worlds, ruling kingdoms or clanholds like the soaring dragonkin and the gun-toting shobhad, while the mysterious flumph searches out dangerous invaders from beyond the tapestry of night.
