Pirates are plundering the 5-star reviews!

In the wake of releasing our second piratical adventure, Islands of Plunder: Spices and Flesh, we are also pleased to note that the first in the series, Islands of Plunder: Tarin’s Crownhas already garnered not one but TWO 5-star reviews on Paizo.com!

Cavian states:

The adventure is well knit together, with a tight story that drives it through, but open-ended enough with its descriptions that it can be easily tweaked for the purposes of any group’s particular play style. My players readily enjoyed the ability to parlay with the first mate, and to use that to their advantage when planning their assault on Tarin’s Crown itself. Tarin’s fortress can be quite brutal as written, but my party found a way to mitigate much of the danger through careful use of skills and spells. Be warned, the murder holes from the second floor down into the entry area quite live up to their name.

Overall this is an excellent adventure to drop into your campaign and I look forward to the future releases in the series.

Meanwhile, Weslocke writes:

Hello All. I recently purchased a copy of Islands of Plunder: Tarin’s Crown and I thought I would drop in and explain how thoroughly my players enjoyed this Adventure Path Plug-In.

Seriously, my players loved this module. It left them calling for more. In fact they are eager to continue with Scourge of the Steaming Isle. They noted to me how they enjoyed the free-form plot that allowed them to approach the adventure from so many different possible directions. They felt that the challenges and adversaries were well thought out and demanding enough to make things difficult. They said that the cast of NPC’s came alive with the back story and that the story itself was engaging. In short, they want more pirate plug-ins.

You can read their reviews in full over on Paizo.com, and speaking of the next installment in the series, Scourge of the Steaming Isle, how about a quick preview of the artwork coming in for that one, courtesy of newcomer William Hendershot? I must say the mysterious Akoria is looking lovely so far…

Come on in, the water's fine...
